Co-Founder & CEO

Adam Harvey

I have worked in the property industry for more than 20 years. In October 2005, I took the opportunity of co-founding Harkalm. Since this time, Harkalm has established itself as one of the most prolific investment and development companies in the industry acquiring properties and land across the UK.

When not in the office, I enjoy playing football and golf, and spending quality time with my wife and two girls.

Managing Director

Ben Sarner

I joined Harkalm in 2005 almost at inception, focusing on developing our contact base and growing the brand. Over the last 20 years I have had the privilege to work with our exceptional team to collaborate on over 1000 transactions. My role remains to grow the brand and to provide oversite on all transactions both investment and development.

There is no let up in the pace outside of work as I spend most of my time running around with my young family. We all love the mountains and try to get out to the alps winter or summer whenever we can.

Director Head of Investments

David Rhodes

I joined Harkalm in 2008 as a member of the Investment Team, a department that I now head up. My role is focused on ensuring me and my team are sourcing and acquiring new opportunities to grow our portfolio.

Outside of the office most of my time is spent enjoying quality time with my wife and kids. Although I still make it out on the golf course and padel court as regularly as possible. My season ticket days are behind me (for now), so I follow Arsenal from the comfort of my couch.

Director Head of Developments

Daniel Goodman

Prior to joining Harkalm in 2017, I have worked in acquisitions and asset management for organisations such as Bellway Homes, Pizza Hut, Tesco and Starbucks Coffee Company.

At Harkalm I am the Development Director and oversee the acquisition process from appraising suitable opportunities through to practical completion.

Away from the office I like to sample the latest restaurants and bars in London. I also love to travel to the US with my wife and children however these days it is more likely to be to Disney rather than Las Vegas.

Co-Founder & Chairman

Richard Jankel

My role at Harkalm involves structuring finance for the group as a whole and individual investments, to maximise the returns available.

My leisure time is taken up with my family, Italian, bridge and gym - strictly in that order.

Associate Director

Joe Isaacs

I joined Harkalm in 2013 as a Graduate, initially focussing on acquiring investments across the country.

Over the years my responsibilities have evolved with the growing needs of the business, allowing me to develop an in depth understanding of all Harkalm’s core sectors and the overall demands of the industry. My experience has allowed me to be an all-rounder, continuing to purchase commercial investments whilst also working within the Development Team. I’ve enjoyed many business highlights within my career, but the standout so far is acquiring a trophy parade on Shaftesbury Avenue, WC2.

Outside the office, I can often be found exercising, or enjoying a coffee to fuel the exercising.

Marie-Helene Cuckow

With a background in Events, Marketing, Estate Agency and Property Management, Marie-Helene, our Office Manager, joined The Harkalm Group Team back in 2014.
Senior Associate Investments

Oliver Hart

I joined Harkalm as a graduate in June 2017 from the University of Nottingham. Since then, I have been working in the Acquisition Team, primarily sourcing and acquiring investment opportunities across the UK for the Harkalm Group.

Away from the office I am a big football fan, following West Ham on the weekends. I like to keep up my fitness in the new, state-of-the-art Harkalm gym and have recently taken up golf with a lot of work to do on my handicap! I also enjoy spending most of my free time with close family and friends.

Financial Controller

Stanley Chan

I joined Harkalm in 2021 with nine years’ experience working in accounting and finance-related roles. I worked in practice for seven years in audit where I qualified as an accountant. During this time, I gained knowledge and understanding of a wide breadth of industries, from retail to property which I bring to Harkalm with a focus on finances.

Outside of work, I enjoy listening to music, playing the guitar and going out to restaurants with my partner.

Tom George

I have worked in the property industry for 10 years, starting my career with a corporate residential estate agency working in various branches across the Hampshire region.

Following a successful 4 years, I joined award-winning independent firm 'Charters' within their commercial team. I delivered several notable office acquisitions for development clients, taking advantage of permitted development rights.

I gained associate RICS status and completed an additional 2 years at University College of Estates Management where I was then approached by an established independent surveying firm Primmer Olds B.A.S to focus on Investment and Development agency where I acted for private individuals, Charities and property companies, acquiring a disposing of a range of assets across the commercial sectors.

Legal Director

Jonathan Green

I joined Harkalm as their Legal Director in 2022 with over 10 years’ experience of acting on behalf of a whole range of clients in the property industry. My specialty lies in dealing with all aspects of commercial property matters and I had the fortune of acting on behalf of Harkalm for nearly 10 years at my previous firms. I will be utilising my knowledge and understanding of commercial property transactions in an in-house role on all deals undertaken by the company.
Marketing Manager

Belle Bronte

Marketing has been my passion for as long as I can remember, and I found my professional home at The Harkalm Group in 2022.

Outside of work, you'll often find me crafting my famous watermelon Margaritas. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends.

Senior Associate

Charles Percival

Before joining Harkalm in 2022, I worked in Property Acquisitions at Tesco and Amazon across a range of store formats.

My focus is now to acquire and develop sites for commercial tenants, from sourcing and appraising opportunities, to handing over to the operator. My emphasis is on local centre, roadside and high street locations, with a view to creating developments that positively impact local communities.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my partner and new baby boy. I enjoy cricket, golf and going to the gym, and following Chelsea.

Jake Mullem

Prior to joining The Harkalm Group in June 2023, I have worked within various sectors of the property industry for over 10 years.

Today, my role consists of diligently sourcing and acquiring investment opportunities throughout the UK, to complement our portfolio of commercial assets. My primary focus lies in the vibrant markets of London and the Home Counties, although have a breadth of experience in acquiring property Nationwide.

Outside of the office, I watch plenty of football and support Tottenham Hotspur (for my sins). I enjoy exploring the world with my wife and our baby girl and are always looking forward to our next big adventure!

Senior Associate Acquisitions

Robert Gold

I started my real estate career in Chicago and continued on my property journey upon my return to the UK in 2011.

Prior to joining The Harkalm Group in 2023 I spent 8 years heading up acquisitions for my previous company.

Outside of work I like to play and watch as much sport as possible, entertain my kids and act as their taxi driver.

Legal Assistant

Chelsea Foran

Prior to joining the Harkalm Group in August 2023, I worked for an Independent Financial Advisor administrating on Residential and Buy to Let Mortgages.

My role within Harkalm is to provide administrative support across the company.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my dog and attending my Fiancés Gaelic Football matches.

Lead Researcher

Ciara Bodicoat

Prior to joining the Harkalm Group I worked in information services for the Pharmaceutical industry. This focused mainly on research and identification of relevant individuals and companies and then subsequent relationship building, mainly within oncology.

Outside of work my passions include hiking, travelling and tending to my houseplant collection, including 20 orchids.

Acquisitions Associate

Benjamin Fraser

Prior to joining The Harkalm Group I worked in the Financial Markets, focusing on Commodity Trading. Joining Harkalm, my primary focus will be sourcing and acquiring Investment opportunities to add to our growing portfolio.

Outside of work you’ll find me avidly supporting Spurs (much to my own disappointment), spending quality time with family and friends and trying to make my way around any new, up and coming London restaurants.

Researcher

Emily Drury

Before I joined Harkalm I had completed my Master’s in War Studies from King’s College London, and before that I did my undergraduate degree in International Politics from City University of London.

Outside of work I enjoy travelling, spending time with family and friends as well as exploring London’s pubs and restaurants.

Development Surveyor

Lewis Walker

As a building surveyor with 10 years’ experience, my role involves conducting conditional surveys on new acquisitions, assessing risks to both the build and budget for new developments. I work closely with a panel of reliable contractors, negotiate and value-engineer specifications, and create detailed programs of work alongside budget forecasts for ongoing jobs. Additionally, I oversee the timely completion of projects in line with JCT contracts, all while maintaining rigorous control over program, costs, and quality. I am also responsible for preparing regular reports to ensure stakeholders are kept fully informed.

 

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending quality time with my young family and have a keen passion for cycling. As a recent personal challenge, I cycled from Scotland to Cornwall in 8 days, covering over 1000km and I am always on the hunt for a new challenge.

Alex Ringer

With professional experience in children’s tuition centers, nurseries, and SEND schools, I’m delighted to join the development team at Harkalm to help grow the group’s education portfolio.

Proud girl dad to two amazing young daughters, I also enjoy running, cooking, and meditation.

For the past 25 years, I’ve been involved in organising residential respite summer camps for children with special needs, providing valuable support and a positive experience for both the children and their families.
