

About Us
Harkalm was set up in 2005 and was focused on building a small team in acquisitions to trawl the directory of investment agents around the UK. During the starting years Harkalm traded approximately twenty commercial properties a year in sub £1m lots using auctions as a disposal method.
Investment became the first pillar of The Harkalm Group we know today.

In 2008 the business first started looking at the concept of "adding value" to investments. Whilst this was an incredibly tough time with the Global financial crisis, we spent these next few years acquiring, simultaneously letting (in these days it was minimum 10 and often 15 year terms) and sold around 50 bookmaker investments.
The next step was to build lasting relationships with retailers including A3 restaurants like Cote, A5 retailers like Domino's, coffee shops and convenience stores. These relationship has multi-facetted uses and we began to buy short leased properties with operators we had relationships with and simultaneously line up re-gear’s with our purchases. Whilst we try to work with as many of these retailer on an ongoing basis however the supermarkets have been a constant source of deals and this has become the second pillar of Harkalm.

In 2013 we agreed a piece of land suitable for a Drive Thru. After we agreed terms with Starbucks, obtained planning we built the Drive Thru unit. Develpments has become the third pillar of The Harkalm Group.
Since the creation of Harkalm we have grown from a team of two to a team of eleven. In the last five years we have had over 150 property transactions and invested in excess of £200m to date.
